kung hei fat choi

well, i'm home from Hong Kong!
the past week and a half has literally [& figuratively] flown by.
here's the dish of our whole trip & such!
[p.s. if you didn't know, we went to Hong Kong to dance in the Chinese New Year Parade.]
we left late thursday january 19, 2012 & arrived in Hong Kong early morning saturday 21, 2012.
{15 hour flight from LAX + Hong Kong being 15 hours ahead of SLC = friday january 20, 2012 never existing in my life.}
right after we landed we headed straight to rehearsal.
after we were all settled in our hotel rooms and jet lag was beginning to set in, 12 of us headed back into rehearsals to learn some good old Chinese choreography for the opening piece of the parade.
when we got there another group was rehearsing over & over & over again... & needless to say, this happened.
nice editing skills huh? [just jokes. all of it. hah]
it was hilarious and we had too much fun. click here to watch some of our chinese choreography rehearsal.
the next few days consisted of rehearsals, a tour of hong kong, shopping [stanley & lady's market], bus rides, lunches, shows, {of course} dancing in the Chinese New Year Parade & more.

we got home thursday january 26, 2012 after a long flight home.
time definitely didn't stop then. we went straight into rehearsals for our show Move which was this weekend. it was so amazing!

now back to school, getting over a cold, reality and Utah time zone.
i may or may not have slept until 5:45 p.m. today [tonight?] aka sleeping through church and basically the whole day. it's whatever.

bazinga.

a few nights ago something utterly hilarious happened in the Robinson household.
this little girl
went "that shi cray" cray.
& it was all because of me.
& i was in hysterics... the whole time.

...

shall i start with a background story?
earlier that night aubrey asked me what song had the word "on" in it.
i replied with bruno mars, "count on me."
she said thanks and we proceeded on with our night.
about 30 minutes later, i started reading her long status on facebook.
it had a bunch of songs that played off of each others words into the next song.
pretty clever right?
well, that was until the end when instead of putting "count on me," aubrey put another word that starts with a c that changed the whole meaning into something quite dirty.
it has 4 letters.
ends with an e.
& the middle has an o & a m.
needless to say, my mom & i busted up in laughter & told her she should delete it.
at first aubrey was laughing with us, until she started saying that she meant to say that.
[??]
& then suddenly she went ape on me!
[okay, i may have taunted her a little.]

in a matter of 10 minutes, i was...

unfriended on facebook.

no longer "allawed" in her room.

& fined for 20 bucks.

downside?
she took away her dvds of the Big Bang Theory from me.
is this a joke?
bazinga?

apparently facebook is the epitome of friendship and sisterhood.
good thing i got this the next day huh?

still laughing.

( flight of the frenchies )

can i praise them?
better yet, where do i sign up?
inspiring.

[insert New Years post here.]

i'll admit it, i felt uneasy about 2012.
writing out 2012 instead of 2011 is going to be a hard task in itself.
adjusting though.
this past year has been [simply put]:
AMAZING
& that's why i nearly had a panic attack when
12:00 AM January 1, 2011 [darn it, 2012. 2012. 2012.]
approached.
& then...
as the seconds began ticking in the new year, i got that
[jumpup&downscreamingwithjoy]
kind of excitement.
2012 is going to be even better than i deserve, i already know.
& what better way to welcome the new year than travel to Hong Kong?
i am so excited for everything that is to come & i hope you all are as well for what merrily comes your way!

as for resolutions.
i have twelve.
[one including this quote.]
be pretty if you can,
be witty if you must,
but be gracious if it kills you.
-elsie de wolfe`

two thousand & twelve, welcome.
